Best time to travel

November to February

Thailand has three broad seasons, and the cool, dry months from November to February are the most popular, with comfortable temperatures and the best beach weather. The hot season, from March to April, builds to a peak around the Songkran water festival in mid-April. The rainy season from May to October brings short, often heavy downpours and bargain prices, with lush landscapes in between showers. November marks the start of the dry season and is excellent for northern trekking and the Loi Krathong festival of lights.
